

This is what the automatic updates includes: Here is before (left) you go through automatic updates and then after(right): I haven’t yet transferred any of the 3rd party software over from the original install (I’ve installed Windows 7 on a separate hard drive so as to preserve the original), but I will be taking a look at that later today. Arguably, some of the functionality provided by either Acer-specific software or third-party software is taken care of by built-in software and features that are included with Windows 7, so you may not even lose any functionality. With a few driver updates and installs, you’ll be at nearly the same level with Windows 7 as you would be with the original Windows XP Home installation that came installed.
