There are no fees to send or receive money from friends and family in the U.S - but if you’re sending or receiving payments from another country, fees apply. If you have your friend’s link, simply follow the link and enter how much you want to pay them. The initiative has made sending money even easier. Simply open up your PayPal account, press the “send money” button, and follow the instructions - it only takes a few seconds to send money. PayPal’s interface is extremely easy to use, largely thanks to a major redesign.
PayPal has long been the go-to for online shopping, and the fact that it can be used to transfer money between friends is simply a bonus. Google's decision to kill off peer-to-peer payments comes after the company folded a standalone Google Pay Send app into its flagship Google Pay app last year. Google Pay should continue to work as a payment method at retailers and through online stores that support the service. People who don't have a balance remaining in the app won't have to take any action.
While the feature will continue working for the time being, Google is asking users to transfer outstanding balances to their bank account before the feature is discontinued.
